Paige’s First Derby

Once again my sister put on another flawless event. Her sweet Paige’s 1st birthday derby party will have you wanting to have a derby party of your own.

Cake and Cupcakes: The Cake Fairy by Monica
Cookies from: Buttercream’s Bake Shop

Party decor: The mantel was decorated with roses and Paige’s monthly photos. Guests got to bet on horses and the kids got to take home horse as party favors.

My sister handmade all the flowers for this beautiful photo backdrop! I am in love!

Paige LOVED her cake! She even let her sister steal some.

Couples Baby Shower

Baby showers are NOT just for the mom & baby! Here in St. Louis we decided to have a BIG party to celebrate the arrival of our sweet boy.

Will’s sisters did an amazing job putting it all together.

The Art of Entertaining catered the shower & was pretty delicious.

mini sandwiches
fruit & veggie platters
shrimp cocktail
mini cheesecakes
cake balls
bellini bar
LOTS of Budlight

My MIL painted the wooden boxes that spell out Widdy. Cannot wait to use them in the nursery. Simple yet cute. Those hydrangeas are just gorgeous!

Since our Chapel Hill engagement party had a mimosa bar seemed logistical to have a bellini  bar at our baby shower.

Games & other decor: Mad libs were so much fun to read after the party. They are going into the baby book for sure. These stuffed animals (besides the doggie) were Will’s when he was little, also the smocks they are wearing. LOVE!

Tara made her famous homemade chocolates for party favors. I stole 4 boxes!  Check out Carolina Caramel and order your chocolates today!

Will’s Uncle Jackie’s girlfriend surprised us with this diaper cake. We are set on diapers for the 1st couple of months.

Such a fun time with family & friends. It was so much fun to see my hubby light up at every gift. Just shows baby showers are NOT just for the ladies. Add beer and good food and the boys will love it.

Peter Rabbit Baby Shower

My sister threw the cutest shower for our sweet boy. Here are some photos of the food & set up. Every detail was PERFECT!

The food was all of my favorites!

Chicken salad
veggie tray
olives & pickles
hummus & pita chips
deviled eggs
pasta salad
ambrosia salad
carrot cake
petit fours

Cannot forget about the other details that made the day so special.

Chalk signs:

other decor:
The seersucker bibs were just too cute! I love seersucker so this little detail filled my heart with so much joy. Also fresh flowers are a must. They are a simple decoration that adds so much.

The Peter Rabbit easter basket filled with veggie washcloths was one of my favorite gifts.

Everyone went home with something sweet. How cute are these carrot cookies & jelly bean filled carrots? Precious!

The shower was so beautifully planned and I wouldn’t expect anything less from my sister. She is very talented.

Meet Maria

Couldn’t be more giddy to kickoff Follow Fridays with the lovely Maria from Pink Lips and Play Dates.

Get to Know Maria:  Married to her high school sweetheart, Brian. Mommy to sweet (but totally two years old) Bristol! Raised in Houston (we went to the same high school… GO FALCONS).

LOVES: working out, taking pictures, hanging out with her mama friends and of course, shopping!

Pink Lips and Play Dates:  Pink Lips and Play Dates will be a lifestyle blog for mommies who love fashion. Sometimes being a mommy means sacrificing that expensive taste by putting down that Birkin and trying NOT to be jealous when you child dresses better than you. You will fall in love with Maria + Bristol not only because of their matching dimples but on how they live life to the fullest and look good while doing so.

Wise word to her readers: “My advice to aspiring or current entrepreneurs is, JUST DO IT! Take the plunge and do what makes you happy! Take risks! Life is too short to “wish you would have done it.” I also think some good advice is to just be yourself. The internet and blogger world is full of beautiful pictures of what we see as perfect… well, life isn’t perfect. Being a Mommy is messy, and thats okay…”

Where to find her: Until her blog is up & running (we can’t wait), you can follow Maria and all her adventures on IG: Pink Lips and Play dates.

Small shops: Interested in connecting with Maria about having her and her sweet Bristol show off some of your shops goodies please free to DM her on IG.

Cue the confetti! Happy Hour Designs Blog is officially up + running. WOOT WOOT!

We will be adding so much fun stuff throughout the next week but first check out our About page and get to know us a little better.
